I AM
a design ethnographer and research maker cultures in times of polycrisis. In my PhD at the Institute for Sociology and Cultural Organisation at Leuphana University Lüneburg, I explored urban living labs in the rural areas of North-Eastern Germany and investigated how they mobilise design as an agent of eco-social change. I have a background in integrative design, experimental typography and media studies.

Modular Office
Prototype
2020
As a doctoral student, I mainly work on my laptop, read texts and organize a lot of stuff. But the way I work is strongly influenced by the office situationen that I work in. Furniture can offer and/or prevent certain modes of concentration, comfort, flexibility, openess, exchange. In that way, the configuration of the space also informs how I do my PhD.
To understand more about the practice-space-relation and to broaden the traditional imagination of „the office as an arrangement of tables in a room“, I built three wooden, modular elements to prototype different work situations. The elements can serve as a desk, a shelf, a bench, a daybed, a bar table, and so on.
